ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology
Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1 years speech-language
pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. This speech language
pathology assistant position supports elementary students from
kindergarten through 5th grade within a Mobile County School
District campus in Alabama. The role spans a comprehensive school
year, starting in March 2025 and concluding May 29, 2026, with a
full-time schedule of 35 hours per week. Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech-language support and intervention under the
supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists. Assist in
implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) focusing on
speech and communication goals. Monitor and document student
progress, adapting strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational
professionals to enhance student communication skills. Maintain
compliance with district policies and Board of Speech Examiners
standards. Qualifications and Experience: Current registration with
the Board of Speech Examiners is required; possession of AL
Department of Education SLPA licenses is noted for direct hire but
not mandatory for this contract role. Experience level ranging from
entry to advanced (0 years) in a school setting is welcomed. Proven
ability to work with children in K-5 grade levels. Strong
communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Location: Ella
