Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A full-time Special Education Teacher is needed to
provide one-on-one support to K-12 students in a school setting
located in New Orleans, LA. This contract position runs from ASAP
through May 22, 2026, with a commitment of 35 hours per week,
Monday through Friday, following the school calendar. The role
involves working closely with an assigned student in a 1:1 setting,
tailored to their unique educational needs. Key Responsibilities: -
Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with
special needs in a one-on-one environment - Develop and implement
tailored educational plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary
teams - Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies
as needed - Maintain detailed documentation and comply with all
district and state regulations - Participate in meetings with
teachers, parents, and specialists to support student development
Qualifications and Experience: - Active Louisiana Department of
Education Special Education teaching certification (no expired or
renewal-in-process licenses) - Experience working with K-12
students in special education settings, preferably in one-on-one
instruction - Ability to complete required district screenings
including drug screening and fingerprinting - Strong communication
and organizational skills to manage caseload effectively - Capacity
to begin the assignment promptly and work consistently through the
contract period Location: New Orleans, Louisiana Position Type:
