A full-time, onsite School Psychologist opportunity is available in the New Orleans, LA area, specifically serving school districts within Jefferson Parish. This contract role offers a rewarding chance to support students mental health and educational development within local schools. Location: New Orleans, LA area Contract Duration: ASAP through May 22, 2026 Work Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week (7 hours/day, Monday through Friday), following the school calendar. Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Caseload & Assignment: To be determined based on district needs and candidate experience. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to support student learning and behavioral interventions. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to develop individualized educational plans (IEPs). Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district policies. Support the districts efforts to promote equitable educational opportunities for all students. Qualifications and Requirements: Active Louisiana Department of Education certification for School Psychologists is required. Completion of state-mandated drug screening and fingerprinting for district credentialing. Experience working with school-aged children is preferred; caseload specifics and age groups will be assigned after placement. Additional Details: Four School Psychologist positions are available. Candidates will undergo an internal prescreening process before district presentation. Interviews are scheduled quickly, often within 24 hours of submission, with prompt hiring decisions.
