A in Mississippi is seeking a Orthopedic Surgery Physician to provide quality patient care for a Locum Tenens assignment.

Assignment

• Dates: 10 days per month (can be 10 consecutive days or blocks of 5)
• Schedule: 24 Hour Call - level 2 trauma
• Setting: Inpatient
• Call: 24-hour call. 30 minute call time.
• Volume: Average 2 calls per night but not always calls to come in. Some calls might just be a call from the hospitalists saying they admitted a patient/can wait for morning
• Patient Ages: All ages but very little pediatric, majority is elder population
• Procedures: NA
• Cases: level 2 trauma cases (a lot of hip fractures)
• the provider will be signing out to the incoming ortho trauma surgeon

• Support Staff: Ortho Trauma First assist supplied by OR
• EMR/Charting: Cerner

Requirements

• Boards: Board Certified
• Certifications: ATLS; BLS; DEA
