Job Description:
We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum tenens
opportunity in Mississippi. This 4-week assignment begins Oct 24,
2025, with 24-hour call shifts from 7am to 7am. The provider will
play a key role in supporting emergency c-sections and pediatric
care, primarily assisting with newborns and pediatric emergencies.

weeks Provider Type Needed: Pediatric Hospitalist Schedule:
December 24-28 (ending call 7am December 29); 24-hour call shifts
(7am-7am) Responsibilities and Duties Provide out-of-house call
coverage for emergency c-sections and pediatric illnesses Respond
to emergencies within 20 minutes; 40-45 minutes for non-emergencies
Assist with c-section births and support newborns post-delivery,
including potential incubation Manage pediatric emergencies such as
simple urinary tract infections, dehydration, asthma, and hypoxia
Help alleviate workload for the Pediatric Director Average 1-2
emergency deliveries per week; approximately 1 birth every 3 days
Care for infants and pediatric patients during urgent and emergent
situations Additional Information Requires 3 years experience in
c-section deliveries or emergency newborn care Mississippi state
