Job Description Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy,
including dispensing medications, managing inventory, and
maintaining accurate documentation and records. Develop and
implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all
relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Foster a
positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.
Responsibilities Recruit, train, and supervise pharmacy staff,
including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel.
Provide ongoing feedback and performance evaluations to pharmacy
staff. Monitor workflow to optimize efficiency and customer
satisfaction. Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering
medications and supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing
waste. Implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover and
reduce costs while ensuring adequate supply to meet patient needs.
Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to reconcile
discrepancies and ensure accuracy. Collaborate with healthcare
providers to optimize patient outcomes and ensure safe and
effective medication use. Counsel patients about their medications,
including dosage instructions, potential side effects, and drug
interactions. Investigate and address any incidents or errors to
prevent recurrence and promote patient safety. Maintain high levels
of customer satisfaction to improve patient and provider
relationships. Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks
to leadership in a timely manner. Maintain strong relationships
with client partners and meet as needed to ensure operational
excellence. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Essential
Skills Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited
institution. State licensure as a pharmacist with the ability to
obtain licensure in multiple states including TX, Mississippi,
Washington, North Carolina, Maryland, and Tennessee. 2 years in
pharmacy management with a focus on corporate or multisite
settings. Experience in retail pharmacy is a must. Additional
Skills & Qualifications Experience in mail order pharmacy is a
plus. Proficiency in data entry and clinical review. Work
Environment The position operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM
to 5 PM. The role involves managing one technician and two PRN
pharmacists to support with coverages. The work is conducted at a
full-service pharmacy dedicated to serving its employees and their
dependents, which also offers mail order services. Job Type &
Location This is a Contract position based out of New Orleans, LA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $140000.00 -
$150000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and
may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
