Job Description:
Position Summary: This April, the DNC is heading to New Orleans,
and we are hosting a special half-day training for aspiring
Democratic organizers who want to learn about the fundamentals of
political organizing and how to build a career in politics.
Accepted participants will receive hands-on training from senior
political operatives about organizing best practices, how to
register voters, and career paths in political campaigns. The
training will culminate with an in-person voter registration drive
in downtown New Orleans where you’ll put your new skills to work
immediately to register new Louisiana Democrats. By participating,
you will join a talent pool of trained organizers that we will
share with campaigns staffing up for the midterm elections.
Eligibility: This program is specifically designed for youth and
graduating high school / college students based in the New Orleans
area who are passionate about electing Democrats. No previous
political experience is required to apply. Location & Date:
Saturday, April 11th from 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM The exact location of
the training will be shared with accepted participants.
Compensation : Accepted participants will receive a $100 stipend
for participation and to cover transportation to the venue. The
priority application deadline is Tuesday March 31st. Selected
applicants will be contacted in the following weeks. The Democratic
