Job Description Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a
highly organized and bilingual (Spanish/English) Logistics
Specialist to join our logistics and supply chain team. The ideal
candidate will be responsible for managing import operations,
coordinating with international suppliers, and ensuring smooth
transportation and inventory flow. This role requires fluency in
both English and Spanish to facilitate communication across diverse
teams and partners. The Import Specialist will play a key role in
optimizing supply chain processes, maintaining compliance, and
supporting overall operational efficiency within a dynamic
warehouse environment. Hours are Mon- Fri 9am to 6pm. Pay starts at
$22 to $23 per hour Duties Coordinate import shipments, including
freight forwarding, NVOCC, and 3PL providers, ensuring timely
delivery and compliance with regulations. Manage inventory control
and warehouse distribution activities using Warehouse Management
Systems (WMS) and ERP systems such as AS400. Oversee procurement,
sourcing, and category management to optimize costs and supplier
relationships. Plan transportation logistics, including freight
scheduling, transportation planning, dispatching, and fleet
management. Utilize data analysis skills to monitor supply chain
analytics, demand planning, and process improvement initiatives.
Handle shipping & receiving operations, order fulfillment, picking
& packing, and materials handling activities. Maintain accurate
documentation for customs clearance, pricing strategies, and
shipping documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on
operations management, packaging, materials management, and
warehouse experience enhancements. Support warehouse management
system updates and utilize CMMS for maintenance tracking related to
logistics equipment. Assist in developing strategies for logistics
optimization including sourcing and procurement activities aligned
with company goals. Qualifications Proven experience in supply
chain management, logistics, or warehouse operations with a focus
on import/export processes. Strong knowledge of transportation
management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP
systems (such as AS400), and supply chain analytics tools.
Experience with freight forwarding, NVOCC operations, 3PL
coordination, shipping & receiving procedures, order picking &
packing. Familiarity with procurement processes, category
management, sourcing strategies, and demand planning. Ability to
analyze data effectively to identify process improvements and
operational efficiencies. Proficiency in at least two languages
(bilingual) to facilitate international communication. Excellent
organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory
management and inventory control practices. Knowledge of customs
regulations, pricing strategies, transportation planning, fleet
management, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts is
preferred. Strong communication skills combined with the ability to
work collaboratively across departments to meet operational goals.
