Job Title:--Videographer + Photographer----Schedule:--Full time with at least 50% flex scheduleAbout Eat Y'all:Eat Y'all helps food farmers and artisan food producers access a better path to multi-generational sustainability by helping them connect to chefs who are looking for better ingredients. We offer coaching, brand building digital content (podcast, video and blog) as well as events like immersive overnight Chef Camps and farm-to-table showcase dinners called CONNECT Dinners and other educational workshops and experiences to accomplish our mission. We use a variety of visual story-telling content as a way to help them connect to valuable foodservice customers - and also to teach them how to replicate this process for themselves infinitum. Applicants may choose to live anywhere within an approximately one hour drive of this central location, so long as they agree to required travel and scheduled onsite availability. Applicants may work from a home office the balance of their work time.--Position Summary:--Eat Y'all is seeking a videographer that loves to document real life and tell stories through video and photography that will be shared and amplified to native digital audiences. We seek a creative technician that is adept at capturing the moment as it happens and finding the storylines inside reality. A people-loving person with a genuine spirit of hospitality that loves getting to experience all types of people, foods and places is a must. Must be able to work on multiple projects at once, produce and post-produce projects of varying lengths - from 1 minute to an hour.--We are looking for someone who enjoys learning about and covering the communities we serve: food farmers, artisan food makers, chefs, restaurateurs and their supporting industries and organizations.-- The right candidate will have an innate ability to tie all of our content back to our mission and clearly communicate our mission in a story format through the content they produce.--This is a great opportunity for a passionate visual storyteller who loves daily and long-form journalism and who wants to be part of a team that collaborates and enjoys all aspects of the business from food events to farm tours to event planning and editorial creative brainstorming.--This person will be responsible for the proper operation, transport and maintenance of all production equipment before, during and after live and pre-recorded sessions. They must operate the equipment masterfully to record, edit, synchronize, mix and reproduce long-form videos, video snippets or social media clips as well as photography from each session. This person must be an immensely trustworthy, loyal and kind human who can quickly build and easily maintain rapport with colleagues, partners and the general public alikeWork with our founders and key players to set out weekly and monthly schedules to document stories within the day to day operation of Eat Y'all in a way highlights and adds value to the ingredients, producers, chefs and organizations that we serve as well as the events we produceSupport our efforts to educate our target audiences using video thru video planning, production and post production of these types of projects.--Insure a beautiful, consistent aesthetic while being driven to create content that achieve stated business goals - and can use metrics we provide to guide this effortOperate video cameras for all projectsMaintain all video production equipment correctly and thoroughlyVerify all information and releases required to accurately present the information in final formContinuously explore new options/resources to improve efficiency and quality of our videosInsure logos, audio and brand guidelines are consistently and correctly represented in all media and are properly formatted to correctly represent our brand as well as the brands of partners represented in each videoThink creatively as part of our team to employ an ever evolving array of storytelling tools built on the pillar video content you create, including but not limited to still images, words, social media platforms like Instagram stories and more--Coordinate equipment setups for talent doing remote broadcasts (ie. live Internet broadcasts when you are not onsite)Act as "stage manager" during live broadcasts when onsiteWrite and record your own voice-oversCommunicate and troubleshoot issues with Eat Y'all Leadership TeamMaintain constant access to a reliable form of transportation--Learn and use our required software systems to communicate with team and manage projects: Twist, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.--File and correctly archive footage and finished projects in a timely fashion--Attend weekly status meetingsPerform other duties as assigned--Preferred Qualifications:Working towards or have already obtained a bachelor's degree in business, management, communications, broadcast journalist, agricultural communications, and/or hospitality or demonstrate a proficiency through portfolio and trial project for this job that meets or exceeds this qualification--Experience working in broadcast journalism, producing video for live events, vlog, newscast or similarHas above average food and farm knowledge a plus; an eye for an aesthetic that will appeal to our target audiences is a mustA strong still and video portfolio that shows your visual voice and range of expertise.Demonstrate ability to report accurately while respecting the private / proprietary limitations of this work format.--Understanding of social media and how to engage audience on digital platforms.Ability to multi-task and excel under deadline pressure, using time efficiently in a flexible, home-office and/or travel work environment.--Skill at collaborating in a cross-functional environment and adapting in a rapidly changing industry.Is teachable / accepts guidance and feedback well--Ability to multitask with great attention to detail and a positive attitudeUnderstanding of graphic designAbility to take direction from multiple peopleAbility to travel to events out of state with or without direct reports.--This role requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the minimum liability insurance required by state law.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projectsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailsHighest level quality control skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Must have legal right to work in the U.S.Lift 40 lbs. or lessPass a background checkTechnical Skills:Operating studio sound equipment.Mixing sound elements into a professional sounding product.Experience using Adobe Premiere, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop on Apple platformTHINK YOU'D BE A GREAT FIT?--We are eager to learn more about you and how you fit this role.
