Job Description:
Founded in 1963 by Charles B. Holder, Hol-Mac Corporation has
grown from two employees in one facility to five modern facilities
with over 800 highly skilled employees. Hol-Mac Corporation serves
Original Equipment Manufacturers as a major supplier of steel
fabrications, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic fuel tanks, mobile
vacuum loading equipment and trailer mounted forklifts. Its
capabilities include product design, prototype development and
testing, custom tooling, laser cutting, robotic welding, skived and
roller burnishing, painting, sub/final assembly, and contract
manufacturing. In addition to supplying Original Equipment
Manufacturers, Hol-Mac manufactures several proprietary products
including Pac-Mac Refuse & Recycling Equipment and Vacuum Products,
Hammerhead Off-Road Armor and Donkey Forklifts
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- PC and Windows literate; working knowledge of Microsoft Office
products, including Excel, Word, and Access
- Candidates will have successfully completed training in the
following areas : (NOTE: candidates may be exempt from
participating in certain training sessions if they master the
pre-testing for that particular skill area.)
- Blueprint Reading Training(Books 1, 2, & 3)
- SPC Training
- Certified through Hol-Mac in the use of overhead cranes and
rigging devices
- Certified through Hol-Mac in the operation of forklifts
- Measuring Devices Training on the following required measuring
device(s): Tape Measure (English and Metric), Steel Rule (English
and Metric), Protractor, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Snap Gauge,
Micrometers (OD, ID, & groove), Calipers(Vernier, Spring, &
Digital), Coordinate Measuring Machine(s), Thread Gage, Hardness
Tester, Versa Gauge, Profilometer, Ultrasonic Test Equipment
General Job Description
Responsible for the improvement and/or upkeep of all Quality
Assurance systems, trends, programs, and tools. Also responsible
for the handling of non-conforming, items, development and
implementation of new Quality Assurance processes and training of
employees in the usage of precision measuring equipment; performs
all other duties assigned to this job. This includes but is not
limited to the below job duties.
Performing inspection requirements
- Completing purchased part inspections per S.O.P. 00-09-002
- Documenting all inspected parts without fail
- Entering all non-conforming parts into computer system,
notifying purchasing and production of status
- Identifying and selecting parts with an excellent quality
history for certification, minimum one(1) per month
- Issuing CCAN s for re-occurring non-conformities, both internal
and external Performing calibration of tools/equipment
- Calibrating all tools/equipment that are due for calibration
quarterly
- Documenting all calibrated tools/equipment without fail
- Measuring for wear all thread gages per predetermined standard
(Plant 2)
- Performing all measurements with the aid of the Gagemaker
software (Plant 2)
- Ensuring all welding machines are calibrated annually
- Calibrating all click torque equipment monthly and hydraulic
torque equipment is calibrate every three (3) months or as needed,
without fail.
Performing audits
- Conducting a minimum of ten (10) operator audits each week with
the emphasis on the previous week reject leaders
- Conducting all weekly/monthly audits per established standard
(e.g. paint audits, weld audits, etc.)
- Performing all necessary testing
- Identifying all new weld designs during the pre-production
meetings and scheduling to be verified during the prototype
run
- Performing destructive and non-destructive testing
- Documenting results
- Testing random production welds ultrasonically at a weekly
minimum of two (2) per weld process
- Investigating non-conforming welds along with appropriate
department manager, operator, and production manager
- Performing all Millipore testing per pre determined
standard
- Establishing benchmarks for Millipore tested piece parts at the
rate of two (2) per week
- Testing at least one (1) employee for his/her measuring skills
on a weekly basis and providing results to HR
- Scheduling all testing with appropriate supervisor to minimize
production downtime
Training
- Performing all necessary training to Team Members
- Training Team Members to pass the basic measurement tests (1,
1a, 2, 3)
- Training CNC operators to pass the and R&R tests
- Performing additional training to Team Members with
unacceptable measuring test scores
- Providing results to HR for documentation
- Training welders on proper use of weld gauge
- Training all new employees on QA procedures and specifications
within twenty-four (24) hours of hire (1 st day on the job)
- Conducting/Providing follow-up training and required testing
after ninety (90) days
- Performing routine preventative maintenance
- Completing requisition forms for consumables/supplies;
communicating these type needs to designated person
- Reporting maintenance problems
